PAC Modern’s Winter PAC Camp is back!!

WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?!
Get a chance to perform with PAC Modern on Saturday, December 3rd, at CHRISTMASFEST by participating in PAC Modern’s Winter PAC Camp! (Christmasfest, hosted by CSULB PAC & Kappa Psi Epsilon, is a fun-filled Christmas festival that is perfect for friends and family!)

REGISTRATION DAY FOR PAC CAMP:
Monday, 11/28/11 at 4:30 pm
* must have (CLICK TO DOWNLOAD FORMS –>): 1 REGISTRATION FORM, 1 LIABILITY FORM, & Payment
* bring the above forms & your payment (cash/check made out to “PAC Modern”) to the first day of PAC Camp!
* Again, registration starts at 4:30pm on Monday, Nov. 28th. This is also the first day of PAC Camp, which will start at 6:00pm, right after registration.

PAC Camp will be held on the Green Side of the CSULB Pyramid (Atherton St.)

Here’s everything you need to know about PAC Camp, but were afraid to ask!

Q: What is Winter PAC Camp?!

A: Winter PAC Camp is an 1 week dance program that offers PAC Campers the opportunity to learn and train with current members of PAC Modern. As PAC Modern emphasizes and promotes versatility in dance, PAC Campers will be exposed to various dance styles such as house, locking, breaking, popping, and take part in commercial hip hop courses. PAC Campers will also have the chance to learn pieces performed by PAC Modern during this past year. At the conclusion of PAC Camp, all PAC Campers will take part and perform for family and friends alike at CHRISTMASFEST, a fun-filled festival hosted by CSULB PAC & Kappa Psi Epsilon.

Q: What are the requirements?

A: PAC Camp is specifically geared toward youth dancers 18 and under, but anyone 18 and older are more than welcomed!

Q: Is dance experience required?

A: No experience is necessary! If you’re an aspiring dancer looking for a comfortable, engaging, and encouraging environment to grow in, then PAC Camp is absolutely for you!

Q: When does PAC Camp start?

A: PAC Camp starts Monday, November 28th. Registration starts at 4:30pm!

Q: When are practices?

A: Practices are held Monday – Thursday (Nov 28-Dec 1) from 6:00pm – 8:30pm.

Q: Where are practices held?

A: On the green side of the pyramid by Atherton St. Please read all the parking signs! You may have to purchase a daily parking permit at any of the standalone kiosks located throughout the parking lot.

Q: How much does it cost to take part in Winter PAC Camp?

A: ONLY $30!!

Q: How do I sign up?!

A: Registration forms and waiver forms are up. You’ll be able to find them on the homepage of www.pacmodern.com. Make sure you fill it out COMPLETELY and have your parents sign it. Come to the first day of PAC Camp at 4:30 with (1) Registration Form (2) Liability Form and (3) some kind of payment of $30; cash or check made out to “PAC Modern”

Q: How do the classes run?

A: There are 3 dances to choose from each day and you get to pick one to learn! Over 30 classes to choose from! Teachers are past and present PAC Modern members.

Q: What about parking?

Congratulations to everyone that made the 17th season of PAC Modern!! We are so excited to work with all of the talent on this team. Remember to keep staying hungry as we always say and continue to push yourselves as dancers and as individuals. For those of you whose names are not on the list, we want to see you all come back at our next auditions! We appreciate your hunger and your support for the team. Keep up the amazing work! STAY HUNGRY! STAY FOOLISH!

Workshops begin on Monday, September 13th at 6pm in front of Robek’s on the CSULB campus. These will continue every day until the Audition process on Thursday, September 16th at 5:30pm!

• Dancers will learn two audition pieces: First one will be taught on Monday, and the second will be taught on Tuesday
• In no more than four dancers, a group will choreograph a four 8-count piece on their own.
• Dancers will have the opportunity to purchase the audition mix during the week of auditions
• Dancers wil audition in front of judges consisting of PAC Modern Alumni

• Must be either 18+ or a high school graduate
• Do not have to be Filipino or CSULB student
• Must be available to dedicate to Monday & Wednesday night rehearsals
• Must be available to dedicate to PAC related events
• Required to perform at PAC’s Pilipino Cultural Night (Spring 2011) in addition to other PAC Modern related events.
• Must be open to having the best times of your life with PAC Modern

Lawrence (Turquoise PAC shirt) has been a member of the PAC modern family since Fall 2007 while Chad (Purple), Dumbo (Yellow), Can (Purple Nice Guys shirt), and Charles (Red) became members in 2008 to 2009.

Law, Chad, Can and Charles continue to be a part of PAC modern for the 2009-2010 season, but their last performance with PAC Modern this season took place at Vibe XV.

Remember to vote for them in the Nationals!
